The Bartholomew Challenge

I have not been writing many blog entries lately as I have been working hard planning the next version of The Book of Bartholomew.  Thus far, it has been a collection of short stories one can read online. This next version, to be released this fall will layer the experience of reading.  Starting this fall, the reader will be able to click on highlighted text to read back-stories, see additional illustrations, read recipes, listen to songs and audio clips, or link to resources on the internet.  There will also be an interactive component where readers can add their own experiences and stories to the mix.

My goal is to launch this new version September 23rd.  That gives me about 12 weeks to complete the following:

- create 39 audio files
- create 49 images (drawings, paintings, etc)
- research and find 25 links to online resources
- write 17 backstories
- write 9 recipes
- create 21 animations
- create 24 intro videos, and
- find as many as 72 songs by local bands and musicians

To date, I have worked with 15 artists and 9 musicians.  As this is a collaborative project, if you would like to help in any way, please contact me.  The whole point is to have fun. So I promise, it will be fun for you.

I am planning a Bartholomew Brunch for later this month.  At this meal, we will record many of the audio files as a group.  It is quite the riotous time as people share their chicken impersonations and such.  I hope you will be able to join me, details to follow.
